Learning at Work Day - May 2009

Innisfree HA participated in the national Learning at Work Day on 14th May 2009 and won the top prize from The Campaign for Learning in association with Video Arts for creating a 1 minute film inspired by the day.

Learning at Work day is an annual awareness campaign promoting and supporting workplace learning events across England.

This year we held our Learning at Work Day at Clochar Court, our sheltered housing scheme. All staff members of Innisfree participated in the day with some of our sheltered tenants leading activities and sharing their skills. The winning film featured close ups of hands as the main characters and captured the spirit of the day.

The aim of the day was to learn something new and included learning to bake soda bread, knitting, sign language, gardening, decorating and relaxation techniques; this was all made possible by the opportunity of Learning at Work Day.
