Welcome to Innisfree
WELCOME to Innisfree's website. We hope that whether you’re a new visitor or an old friend you will find what you're looking for.
Innisfree is one of around 1,300 housing associations operating in England. If you want to know more about housing associations, visit the National Housing Federation website at www.housing.org.uk.
We are one of the smaller ones, with fewer than 500 homes in our ownership. However, we continue to grow and currently have the largest development programme of all associations under 1000 in London, with 176 units out of 559 under development to our name. But growth isn't everything; we pride ourselves on our high quality services and the high opinion in which our tenants hold us. Their views are set out in the recent tenants' survey.
Larry Corcoran, Innisfree's oldest resident.
We also have a high rating with the Housing Corporation
our funder and regulator. Our most recent assessment is available on their website. We note with interest that the Housing Corporation is intends to cease regulating small associations. We don't agree with this. Innisfree would prefer to see our performance externally validated, as it always has been in the past.
If you have time to look through our website and read some of our reports, you will see that our primary mission is and always has been to address the needs of the Irish community in London. Ten years on from the CRE report, Discrimination and the Irish community, it is sad to report that some of our tenants still experience anti-Irish harassment. Many others have problems accessing the services to which they are entitled. We believe firmly that there is still a need for specialist providers such as Innisfree and other BME associations. Campaigning remains firmly at the top of our agenda. If you want to work with us, please get in touch.
