New Park for Unity Close Estate

On Saturday 16th March the Deputy Mayor of Brent Councillor Bobby Thomas officially opened a new park and communal space on the Unity Close estate in Willesden, Brent.

Over 55 local residents took part in the launch party with representatives of London Borough of Brent, Innisfree Housing Association, London & Quadrant, ASRA and Network Stadium.

Children took part in a range of sports taster sessions, face painting, planting workshops, an Easter egg hunt and arts and crafts.

Innisfree tenants Mossey Halley and Mary O’Toole, both of Shannon Court, were the lucky recipients of raffle prizes.

The project was constructed by Southern Landscapes and designed and managed by Groundwork London.
