Paying Your Rent

Your rent pays for the management, maintenance and improvement of your home and the services we provide. It is important to pay your rent in full and on time.

Your tenancy agreement states that rent is charged weekly and is due in advance. You can choose to make weekly or monthly payments, provided your account remains paid in advance. A monthly amount is normally calculated by multiplying the weekly rent by 52 and dividing by 12.

Direct Debit

Direct Debit is usually the simplest way to pay. We can adjust the amount when your rent changes, so you do not need to arrange a new payment each time.

Call 020 7625 1818 and select option 3 to set up or change a Direct Debit.

Online through Allpay

You can make a debit-card payment through the secure Allpay website. You will need your Allpay payment reference number (PRN) or Allpay card details.  If you do not know your payment reference number, contact our Income Management Officer before making a payment.  Allpay takes your payment but does not show the current balance on your Innisfree rent account.

At a Post Office or PayPoint outlet

You can use your Allpay card to pay at a Post Office or a shop displaying the PayPoint sign. Keep the receipt as proof of payment. Payments may take time to appear on your rent account, so please pay early enough for the money to reach us when it is due.

To request a card, contact us on 0207 625 1818 (option 3) or email housing@innisfree.org.uk

Pay by Telephone

Call 020 7625 1818 and select option 3 to make a debit-card payment over the telephone.  For your security, do not send card details by email, text, or include them in an online enquiry form.

Contact our Income Management Officer if you need:

  • Your current rent balance
  • A rent statement
  • Your Allpay payment reference number
  • Help setting up or changing a Direct Debit
  • Confirmation that a paymenthas reached your account
  • An explanation of a charge or transaction.

Call 020 7625 1818 and select option 3.

We will write to you before your rent changes. If you pay by Direct Debit, we will normally amend the payment for you. If you pay by standing order or another method arranged through your bank, you are responsible for changing the amount.

Please read the rent-notification letter carefully and contact us if you do not understand the new charge.

Even where Housing Benefit or Universal Credit helps with your housing costs, you remain responsible for making sure your rent is paid and your claim is kept up to date.

Tell the relevant benefits service promptly about changes in your household, income or rent. Respond quickly if they ask for evidence, as delays can result in rent arrears.

Please contact us as soon as possible. Do not wait for the debt to increase. We can discuss your account, agree next steps and signpost or refer you to independent benefits or debt advice where appropriate.
