Resident involvement

Our residents are active in a number of ways at Innisfree

Innisfree has adopted the National Housing Federation’s Together with Tenants Charter. The charter aims to “embed a culture across our sector that values the voice and experience of residents, and strengthens the relationship between residents and housing association landlords.”

Together with tenants

Innisfree is passionate about providing an excellent service that meets the needs of all our residents. We recognise that the recently published Together with Tenants Charter provides us with an opportunity to review our policies, procedures and practices, and ensure we deliver on this goal.

These are the commitments outlined in the Together with Tenants Charter, during 2021 we collected your feedback on these issues:

  • the relationship between Innisfree and our residents based on openness, honesty and transparency
  • how we communicate with you about the things that matter to you in a clear, accessible and timely way
  • opportunities to share your views and influence our work and decisions, including how we are accountable to you
  • the quality of your home
  • what happens when things go wrong

To help us embed the Together with Tenants Charter across our services have:

  • launched our new Innisfree website, to ensure clear information is easily accessible to residents
  • developed a tenant consultation programme, where we are seeking residents’ feedback on housing management issues and policies (such as the asset management strategy)
  • carried out an all residents survey on the ‘Quality of Your Home’
  • ensured that resident feedback is heard at Board level and we are developing opportunities for Board members to engage with residents to scrutinise the services we provide

Innisfree is committed to embedding the Together with Tenants Charter across all our services.

A Thoughtful Start to Irish History Month…March is Irish History Month Irish history is full of resilience, strength, and stories that deserve to be told. But we also know it’s a complex history; one that carries both pain and joy.At Innisfree, we’re taking this month as an opportunity to reflect on the journey of the Irish community, especially here in Britain. From the families who made new homes to the workers who built the cities around us, their impact is woven into everyday life.Did you know? The 19th and 20th centuries saw waves of Irish migration to Britain, particularly during the Great Famine (1845–1852) and the post-war period, with around 1.5 million Irish people moving to the UK between 1931 and 1971 (Walter, 2001). Today, over 6 million people in Britain have Irish heritage (ONS, 2011).We’ll be sharing stories, history, and reflections throughout the month, if you have a memory or thought to share, we’d love to hear it. ...
